Buddy sleeps in his crate in the bedroom with the door open. He may whine for the first few minutes but settles down quickly. He knows "go to bed" command.
Temperament
Gentle, eager to please, food-motivated. Can be a bit stubborn on walks when he wants to sniff. Calm indoors but energetic outside.
Known Commands
Sit, Stay, Come, Down, Shake, Leave it, Go to bed, Drop it. Responds well to hand signals. Use high-value treats (freeze-dried salmon) for best results.
Fears & Triggers
Thunder and fireworks - give him his anxiety vest (in the closet) and let him hide in the bathroom. Vacuum cleaner - put him in another room when vacuuming.
Socialization
Very friendly with other dogs and people. Loves children. Gets excited around small dogs - may need gentle correction. Has regular playmates at the dog park (Luna the husky, Max the lab).
Additional Notes
Buddy loves belly rubs and will roll over to ask for them. He knows he is not allowed on the couch but will try when you are not looking. A firm "off" works.
